Maybe! That depends on what you mean by "faster." If you're looking for better acceleration, then you'll want to choose a sprocket that has a lesser tooth count than stock. But when you do that, you will lose a bit in top speed. Conversely, if you want maximum top speed, you should choose a tooth count that is bigger than stock. But of course, you will lose out on acceleration. Think of it in the same way as your mountain bike's gearing. The same concept applies to motorcycle sprockets as well.
