Will it work on older snowmobile, with points ignition

This tachometer can be used on any machine that has a spark plug, regardless of the type of ignition system it has. You just need to be able to wrap the instrument's wire around either, a spark plug wire or the spark plug coil cap and it will be able to pick up a signal. The sensor itself is a rather simple design that works on everything with a spark plug.
