Can this be used with a lithium battery

I have a 2004 vl800 that I put a lithium battery in and then found out the regulator was bad.
These regulators are basically OEM replacement parts without the OEM cost. So long as that battery works with the stock regulator, then you shouldn't have any problems using this particular unit with your battery.
