Does this gasket need sealant?

Without knowing what machine it is that you have, it's difficult to say for sure. Now - if your machine came from the factory and it didn't have a bead of sealant running the case gasket, then no - you won't need to use any sealant on this particular gasket. All Namura gaskets are designed to be equivalent to the OEM gaskets they replace.
