The failure-prone harnesses on Suzuki and Kawasaki are known to develop corrosion which increases electrical resistance, which in turn, increases the temperature of wires to the point where connectors start melting. When this happens, the voltage regulator (and most likely the stator) is failing, incurring steep repair expenses.

RMStator's bypass voltage regulator brings back the renowned Series technology designed to bypass the main wiring harness and connect the voltage regulator directly to the battery. This configuration has demonstrated a major increase in voltage regulator reliability in real life scenarios over the years.

RM regulator/rectifier

I bought this for my 2016 Suzuki DRZ400s to replace a functional stock regulator/rectifier. The major advantage of this regulator is it puts the extra voltage to ground where the stock on grounds it back through the stator increasing heat and therefore shortening stator life. I comes with a harness to do the "free power mod" that increases charging voltage about 1 1/2 volts DC at the battery. Also includes extra connectors and terminal ends. The only shortcoming is that it does not include insulation instructions. But RM stator has a video on You Tube.

Does this come with the wire harness or just the connectors? Picture shows both.

Yes, what you see in the photograph is what's included in the kit; connectors and complete harness along with the regulator/rectifier. The connectors are included since those often get melted on these particular machines. Of course, this kit is designed to prevent that from being a problem to begin with!
