Nice product. Fixed my problem. Thought it was a little odd that it did not actually come with the spark plug boots/caps. I had to buy them separate and splice the boots onto the cdi box wires.

The 88trx 300 was a one-off electrical system and I've had trouble finding the correct DC CDI to fit can we confirm that this is the correct one that will work with this specific model. The 1988 had a one year run of the electrical and all others arent compatible please let me know as I need one in the worst way, thanks
If you were to select the 1988 Honda TRX300 FourTrax 300 2x4 CDI from our fit guide, you'd receive the correct CDI for that machine. Our fit data, which is derived directly from RMStator, shows this CDI will fit the 1988 Honda TRX300 FourTrax 300 2x4 without issue. Specifically, the OEM reference in the supplier's data, 30410-HC4-003 - matches the Shindengen CDI that's shown on OEM parts diagrams that we have here. It is conceivable that RMStator has spec'd a CDI that's capable of operating on more than one machine, and, the fact we've sold quite a few of these without issue means you shouldn't have any problem fitting this to your ATV.
