Do the agm batteries require a specific charger/tender as opposed to the lead acid tenders?

Nope! These batteries can be maintained in the same way as conventional lead-acid batteries. A regular battery tender will do the job just find. We like the Drag Specialties Optimate Duo Battery Charger. It'll work with this battery just fine.
Heard someone said the battery needs to be filled with acid and charged by customer. Is it true or does it come ready t be installed?

The AGM battery is filled/sealed from the factory. They are ready to be installed out of the box, however it's not a bad idea to give it a quick charge to ensure it is at peak voltage when installing.
is this the same as the Yuasa GYZ32HL, with a different name on it?
