Sound deep and not too loud. Always ran SS MK45 on my Harley touring bikes.
S&S MK45's look great! Easy to install.

These were easy to install on an '08 Touring bike and look great! Appear to be well made and have a nice design to them. The db reducers were easy to install and hopefully they quieten it down some compared to my old mufflers.
Haven't been able to see how they sound yet due to some other repairs I'm doing while I've got it on the lift.
S&S Mk45's Fall Just a Bit Short on the Volume

I've now had the Mk45's on my 2011 Ultra for almost a year.
I can't say enough about the quality and the fit, but the sound is not what I was expecting.
It's very good and why I would rate it at least 4 Stars, but it's not as loud as what I was hoping for in a 4.5 Slip-on. Perhaps if I had after-market headers it would give me that real Harley rumble, but without them what I am hearing is a deeper and more robust sound only. Really not bad, but not 5 Stars.

Yes, S&S indicates their lava chrome is supposed to match Harley's scorched chrome finish.

If you do not have any other performance modifications done to your bike, you should not need to have the bike tuned/mapped differently for the installation of these mufflers.
