These mufflers were very easy to install on my 2014 Road King, 30 minutes for the pair total. The fit was perfect. The sound is deep but but somewhat muffled. I can make it louder by removing the DB reducer but after a 2 hour test ride we like it as is. The look is sharp and exactly what we wanted. These will be perfect for our next cross country ride.

These were easy to install on an '08 Touring bike and look great! Appear to be well made and have a nice design to them. The db reducers were easy to install and hopefully they quieten it down some compared to my old mufflers. Haven't been able to see how they sound yet due to some other repairs I'm doing while I've got it on the lift.

I've now had the Mk45's on my 2011 Ultra for almost a year. I can't say enough about the quality and the fit, but the sound is not what I was expecting. It's very good and why I would rate it at least 4 Stars, but it's not as loud as what I was hoping for in a 4.5 Slip-on. Perhaps if I had after-market headers it would give me that real Harley rumble, but without them what I am hearing is a deeper and more robust sound only. Really not bad, but not 5 Stars.

Yes, S&S indicates their lava chrome is supposed to match Harley's scorched chrome finish.

Will I need to have my 2020 FLHXS remapped after installing the S&S Mk45 4.5" Slip-On Mufflers?
If you do not have any other performance modifications done to your bike, you should not need to have the bike tuned/mapped differently for the installation of these mufflers.
